We believe there is One God who creates all things and redeems us from sin and death. We follow Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord. We believe that the Bible guides our Christian faith.
We strive to love our neighbors as ourselves and to respect the dignity of every person.
The Episcopal Church is part of the worldwide Anglican Communion. Much of our theology is Protestant in nature, while much of the Episcopal worship, spiritual practice and church structure resembles Catholicism.
Both men and women are eligible for ordination as deacons, priests and bishops. Lay people play a vital role in the governance and ministry of our church.
All baptized Christians, and not just members of the Episcopal Church, may receive Holy Communion.
We celebrate our unity in Christ and honor our differences. We promote thoughtful debate about what God is calling us to do as followers of Christ. And we welcome all to find a home in the Episcopal Church.
